Behinds the Lens
and more about me
I've been photographing families, newborns, couples, and weddings for over a decade—and what keeps me coming back isn't the gear or the editing or even the beautiful light (though that helps). It's the moment right before the photo that most people never see.
It's the dad who exhales the second he holds his baby for the first time. The kid who forgets I'm there and just runs. The couple who leans into each other on instinct, because that's just who they are.
That's the stuff I'm chasing. And after ten years, I still feel it every single time.
My style is what I call timeless photos for the sentimental human—true-to-color, emotionally-driven, and rooted in real moments. No heavy filters. No forced poses. No awkward "okay everyone say cheese." Just you, captured honestly.
Ten years in.
Still my favorite job.
I live in Newnan, Georgia with my husband, our two kids (Noah and Amelia), and a mini dachshund named Finn who thinks he runs the house. (He does.)
Outside of photography, I'm training for longer and longer races and slowly convincing myself running marathons is a good idea. I'm a voracious reader with a TBR list that will never, ever be finished. I manage finance and operations at a digital marketing agency. And I'm building a personal brand and educational content for other women who are trying to grow something meaningful without losing themselves in the process.
I thrive in a lot going on—always have. My faith keeps me grounded when it gets to be too much, and my coffee keeps me functional.
If you're looking for a photographer who feels like a real person and shows up fully present to your session—you found her.
Hi, I’m Jenna.
What working with me actually looks like
I don't stage things. I don't over-direct. I don't ask you to look at me and smile on command (unless you want to, which is also fine).
What I do is create an environment where your family can just be your family—and then I pay really close attention. I know what to look for. I know how to move through a space quietly. I know that the best shot is often the one that happens three seconds after you think we're done.
I build trust fast, I communicate clearly before and after every session, and I genuinely care about the experience being good—not just the photos being good. (Although we're going for both.)
When you book with me, you're not just getting a photographer. You're getting someone who takes the responsibility of your memories seriously.
